Bernice BENNETT

BENNETT (nee Pollon) Bernice, It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our wife/ mother/ grandmother Bernice M Bennett on Friday, June 23, 2006. She was born on October 5, 1936 in Dafoe, Saskatchewan to Norm and Elsie Pollon. She is survived by her loving husband of 49.5 years Harold Bennett of Elnora, son Richard (Linda) Bennett of Red Deer, daughter Brenda Bennett of Calgary, daughter Barbara (Randy) Turner of Calgary, son Bryan (Tracy) Bennett of Red Deer, grandchildren Bryce, Ryan, Ryley, Taryn and Carter all of Red Deer. She is also survived by one brother Gerald Pollon of St. Albert, Linda (Laurie) Germsheid and children Desirea and Koby of Chestermere and Don Stearns of Delburne, as well as many other family members and friends. Bernice was a long standing member of the Women of the Moose in Red Deer as well as the Royal Purple in Trenville (Elnora). Bernice and Harold were married in Dauphin, December 15, 1956 and lived there until 1968 when they moved to Red Deer with their young family. In 1982 Harold and Bernice moved to Calgary and then retired to Elnora in 1993. In her younger years Bernice worked in the secretarial field and enjoyed curling, camping and golfing. Later in her life she stayed active in her community and church. Funeral arrangements are being made by Prairie Winds Funeral Home in Trochu. Services will be held in Elnora on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 2 pm. at the Elnora Community Hall.
