Mrs. Bernice JoAnn Nygaard of Gilby, Alberta passed away suddenly surrounded by her loving family on December 14, 2009 at the age of 70. Bernice leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Ernie, all of her children, Marilyn and Tom, John and Darcey, Brian and Dawn, Karen and Randy, Kevin and Cathy, Travis and Leanda, Connie, Don and Lorraine, Wanda and Jim, Twenty - one grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Bernice is also survived by her sisters, and a brother, Ellen and Hank, Pat, Nancy and Dave, Gord and Shelley, along with her sister-in-laws, Joyce, Elsie and Wes, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and unlimited friends. A funeral service for Bernice will be held at the ECKVILLE COMMUNITY CENTER, Eckville, Alberta on Saturday, December 19 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made directly to the Relay of Life, Canadian Cancer Society, 200 - 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, Alberta, T2E 2P5 or a charity of your choice.
