1917 - 2009

Bertha Annie Lynn (nee Cooper) of Red Deer passed away peacefully at Bethany CollegeSide on Sunday, November 15th, 2009 at the age of 92 years. Bertha's memory will be cherished by her sons; Ken (Kathy) Lynn of Sicamous, BC, Glen (Sue) Lynn of Cranbrook, BC and Don (Susan) Lynn of Red Deer, AB as well as by her daughter June (Norm) Archibald of Red Deer, AB. She will be also be lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren: Susan Bowers, Ron (Nancy) Lynn, Shane (Shelley) Archibald, Kim Grove, Marcy (Pablo) Dobud, David (Teresa) Lynn, Michael (Tammy) Lynn and by her eleven great grandchildren. Bertha was predeceased by her parents Martha and Harry as well as her sister, Dorothy Jasper. Bertha resided at Bethany CollegeSide for the past five years. One of Mom's greatest joys was when all the family would get together. Her other great love was gardening and surrounding her home with many beautiful flowers. A Family Memorial Service for the late Bertha Annie Lynn will be held on Saturday, November 21st, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67A Street, Red Deer, AB with Reverend Mable Woo officiating. Interment will follow in Alto-Reste Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gaetz Memorial United Church Memorial Fund, 4758 - Ross Street, Red Deer, AB T4N 1X2 or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, #6, 5015 - 48 Street, Red Deer, AB T4N 1S9.
