Betty Finner

Betty Finner, aged 79, passed away June 7, 2022, with her children by her side. Betty was born in Saskatchewan and spent her younger years there, eventually moving to Alberta for work.
She met the love of her life and married Herb on July 2, 1960. They lived in various communities in Alberta and British Columbia, while the family grew from 2 to 5 by 1966. Betty found her forever community in 1976 and the family settled in Sylvan Lake.
Betty was a community builder, ardent volunteer and was always making sure everyone was fed and loved. Her perogies and pies will be missed by many.
She is survived by her daughter Sheri, her son Darryl (Pamela), her daughter Shelly (Greg); grandchildren, Jessica (Colton), Rebecca (Zach), Nicole (Ryan), Mackenzie, Stefan, and Megan; great grandchildren, Carter and Hazily, her sister Doreen and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Betty was predeceased by, her husband, Herb, parents Paul and Lena, brothers Lloyd and Ralston.
A funeral service will be held on June 16, 2022, at 2:00 pm, at the Sylvan Lake Alliance Church, with Pastor Jim Rillings officiating.
