Blanche STAPLES

STAPLES Blanche Matilda Staples of Red Deer passed away peacefully at Alberta Hospital Ponoka on January 22, 2006 at the age of 90 years. Blanche's joy in life was being surrounded by family. She had a generous heart and took pride in always having knitting projects on the go for someone. She enjoyed sewing and for a season volunteered her talents to fix clothing for the needy. She also enjoyed baking, with her specialty being oatmeal cookies, which we all enjoyed. Blanche will be lovingly remembered by her children Ferne (Barry) Leslie of Red Deer, Lucille (Bob) Elvins of Toronto, Bryan (Jean) Staples of Hawk Lake, Ontario, Marlene Bulloch of Airdrie, her grand-children Russell (Jan) Leslie of Castlegar, B.C., Gord (Sharon) Staples of Winnipeg, Jill Bulloch of Calgary, Kelly Staples of Borden, Ontario, Melanie (Todd) Bell of Georgetown, Ontario, Grant (Melissa) Leslie of Calgary, Daryl (Cheryl) Bulloch of Airdrie, Stephen (Kathleen) Elvins of Toronto and her eleven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1995 and her son-in-law Garry Bulloch in 2002. A celebration of Blanche's life will be held at the Metcalf Funeral Chapel, 4200 - 49 Avenue, Innisfail, Alberta, on January 27, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the Innisfail Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Blanche's memory to Chinook House, c/o Alberta Hospital Ponoka, Box 1000, Ponoka, Alberta, T4J 1R8.
