BOYKO - SMITH Elizabeth Anne Elizabeth Anne Boyko-Smith (nee Hokness) passed away peacefully in her home in Bashaw, AB on May 18, 2009 at the age of 55, after a long and courageous battle with the effects of a seriously debilitating injury and illness. Beth was born on February 24, 1954 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan. She moved to Alberta in 1987 and settled in Bashaw in 1996. She is survived by her husband, Edward Smith, her loving daughter, Alexis (Terry) Teichroeb of Lacombe; stepchildren, Cory Thorn, Sarah Smith; her stepmother, Gladys Hokness; her mother, Lorraine Kingsley; her brother, Eric Hokness; her is sisters, Leiflynn Murray and Catherine Hokness-Heinz; her grandchildren, Riley, Raina, and Hailey; numerous neices and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was pre-deceased by her father, Norman Hokness, and her grandparents. Beth's greatest passions were gardening, helping other people, travel adventures with Ed, family camping, runs with her faithful dog, Louie, weiner roasts at the beach, and especially spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by loved ones and all her friends in the community. In accordance with Beth's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Instead, a private gathering to celebrate her life will be held by her family. Cremation arrangements entrusted to: Wombold Funeral Services, Ponoka, AB.
