1969 - 2009
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Brad Gustum of Sylvan Lake, AB, announce his sudden passing while working in Poza Rica, Mexico, on Thursday, October 29th, 2009 at the age of 40 years. Brad was born January 28th, 1969 in Saskatoon, SK and grew up in the Medicine Hat area. Brad played Half Back with the Calgary Colts Football team from 1988-1991; the team won two Championships during that time. Brad loved the outdoors and enjoyed snowmobiling, quadding, camping and fishing with family and friends. Brad was a dedicated husband and father. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Lacey and his children Nolan and Kara. They will have many fond memories of travelling and family time they shared together. Brad will also be dearly missed by his mother, Lily Anne and step father Derek Blatch of Taber, AB; his father, Albert Gustum and partner Mary Ann Kulcsar of Calgary, AB; sister Karyn Norden, brother-in-law Herb Norden and nephew Cooper, all of Brooks, AB; grandfather Raymond Greaves and uncle Allan Greaves, both of Vancouver, BC. Also left to mourn Brad's loss are his mother-in-law, Carol Wolff of Red Deer, AB; father-in-law, Bob Wolff of Riverton, Wyoming; brother-in-law, Brad Wolff along with his wife Christina and their children Brandon, Dustin, Kelsey and Zachary, all of Riverton, Wyoming. Also left to cherish many fond memories of Brad are his many cousins who will miss him greatly. Brad was predeceased by his Grandmother, Isabelle Greaves in 1999. A Celebration of Life for the late Brad Gustum will be held on Saturday, November 7th, 2009 at 1:00p.m. at the Chapel of the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 - 67 Street, Red Deer, AB).
