Brenda Lee Clampitt passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends in Red Deer on Monday, October 20, 2014 at the age of 59 years. Brenda was a loving, caring person who gave countless hours to her family, friends and the community. She touched many lives during her career of 34 years as an ICU nurse at the Red Deer Hospital. She is survived by her mom, Patricia Clampitt of Oyen, brothers; Barry (Laura) of Vermilion, Brian (Christine) of Red Deer, Brent (Grazyna) of Oyen, and Blaine (Candice) of Oyen, and sister, Bev (Paul) Lijdsman of Oyen. She will also be missed by seventeen nieces and nephews, and fifteen great-nieces and nephews. Brenda was predeceased by her dad, Philip Clampitt in 1984. The family of Brenda wishes at this time to recognize the loving care she received from all the staff at the Red Deer Hospital and also the Red Deer Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held at Gaetz United Church, 4758 Ross Street, Red Deer, on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brenda's honour may be made directly to the ALS Society of Alberta, Suite 250, 4723 1st Street SW, Calgary, Alberta, T2G 4Y8 or to the Red Deer Hospice, 99 Arnot Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, T4R 3S6.
