Mr. Brentten Warren 'Brent' Holstein of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice on Monday, September 29, 2014 at the age of 57 years. Brent was born and raised in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. He was a gifted athlete and had a passion for hockey in his younger years. He played for the Yorkton Terriers, Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League from 1973 until 1977. Brent will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Brent will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda Holstein of Red Deer, his four daughters; Andrea (Scott) McNally of Red Deer, Brittany (Joey) Iannetti of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Jacqueline (Brad) Legge and Brittany (Mike) Lessmeister, both of Red Deer; and six grandchildren, Braden, Marysia, Hannah, Rebecca, Alice and Aubree. He will also be sadly missed by his mother, Frieda Holstein of Yorkton, Saskatchewan; brothers, Rodney (Chris) Holstein of Sherwood Park, Alberta and Glen (Brenda) Holstein of Leduc, Alberta; as well as numerous other family and dear friends. He was predeceased by his father, Jack Holstein and a brother, Douglas Holstein, both formerly of Yorkton, Saskatchewan. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
