In loving memory ~
With sadness, we announce the passing of our dear brother, Brian Edward Grice, after a long battle with declining health, on Monday, January 2, 2023, at the age of 67 years. Brian was born into an avid ski family; he spent his teen years as a ski patrol at the Edmonton Ski Club, followed by a winter abroad in Tignes, France.
To save for his trip, he worked in the Arctic Red River driving heavy equipment and his first purchase was a Datsun 240Z sports car. Like his father, he was always tinkering and fixing things and his love of cars, big and small, continued throughout his life. He later studied Commerce at NAIT, winning many Academic awards and graduated from U of A in 1985 with a Law Degree.
He began his career in Red Deer and opened his own law practice working with many clients for over thirty-five years. Active in the Rotary, Law Society, Leads, Hobby Car Club and speaking at Service and Senior's Clubs, he gave back to a community of kind and supportive residents.
Brian will be lovingly remembered by his three younger sisters, Brenda Fiske (Port Hope), Janet Grice (Banff) and Carol O'Sullivan, (Montreal); their families, many cousins, and dear friends. Brian was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Hazel and his older sister, Diane. Much loved and dearly missed, a Celebration of Life will be planned for the spring.
If desired, Memorial Donations in Brian's honor may be made directly to any Aboriginal Legal Aid Service, something that Brian would have liked in his honor. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
