Bryan CRAWFORD

CRAWFORD Bryan Robert Crawford of Leslieville, Alberta passed away quietly on Sunday, June 24, 2007. Bryan was born March 21, 1922 in Lethbridge, first son of Robert and Hilda (Adams) Crawford. He was predeceased by his parents, by his brother Larry Crawford (Norma) and by his sisters Joan Crawford and Margaret Manning (Bob). Bryan is survived by his youngest sister Patricia Verreau (Ken). Bryan moved to Leslieville at age four and resided on the family homestead until his passing at age 85. He farmed and operated a sand and gravel trucking business before retiring. Bryan loved to fish the West Country and just two weeks prior to his passing you could find him in an Argo on Tay Lake, catching trout. Bryan served in the Canadian Armed Forces during WWII and married June Hainer January 18, 1946. Bryan will be sadly missed by his three children, Rod (Barbara), Julie (Jerry) and Vicki (Brad) as well as his grandchildren, Kelti, Terryl, Blake, Gina, Ashley, Dylan and Ben. Bryan has five great-grandchildren, Brody, Brant, Isabelle, Olivia and Jonah and was predeceased by his granddaughter and fishing partner, Robin Crawford. A private family celebration of Bryan’s life will be held at his request, following his cremation. To honor his long-time companions Sammy and Jumper, donations may be made in Bryan’s memory to Red Deer & District SPCA Building Fund or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
