BRYSON 1937 - 2008 Frank Ellery Bryson passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 70 years. Frank was born in Halifax on August 14, 1937, the only son of Warren “Ellery” and Mary “Flo”. He was the grandson of Francis Mackey who was the Harbour Pilot of the Mont Blanc in the December 6, 1917 Halifax Harbour Explosion. He moved to Edmonton in 1947, then to Red Deer in 1948. Frank married Erlene Russell in 1960 and moved to Calgary in 1962. He was an avid sportsman, and it was his dedication to all sports that culminated in Frank being awarded the Athlete of the Year in the city of Red Deer in 1960. This passion for sport translated into Frank becoming an official with the CFOA where he remained active for the rest of his life. Frank is survived by daughter Lisa Chanel Duthie (Brian MacDonald) and her son Warren Emery George; daughter Tara LeAnn and her children Tony Edward and Natasha Jean; daughter Rana Renee Bryson and her children Shannon Leigh, Amber-Lynn Joyce, Evan Davis, Chad Liam, and Geordon Christopher; daughter Dana Darlene (Donald) Torrance and their children William Alexander and Cole David; son Frank Ellery Jr. Bryson and his son Frank Ellery Thomas. Frank is also survived by his friend, former wife Erlene Lillian Bryson, as well as extended family members in the east coast region. Memorial Service will be held at First Alliance Church (12345-40th Street SE, Calgary, Alberta) on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jim Elliott officiating.
