CADGER Mr. Walter James Cadger, beloved husband of Mrs. Marie Cadger of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Nursing Home on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at the age of 83 years. Walter was born on April 20, 1922 at Holden, Alberta where he was raised and then farmed until 1948. He then moved to Blackfalds, Alberta where he operated a Service Station for the next ten years. After that, Walter moved to Edmonton, Alberta in 1957, where he began working for Old Dutch Potato Chips and then transferred to Calgary, Alberta. In 1981, he moved to Red Deer to manage the Old Dutch Warehouse, where he continued working until his retirement in 1987. Walter will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered and cherished in the hearts of his family and dear friends. Walter leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife of eighteen years, Marie of Red Deer, his sons, Kevin (Marge) of Fairmont, British Columbia, Jack (Connie) of Sherwood Park, Alberta and four grandchildren, Tori (Brian), Kelsi (Cory), Stephanie and Ashley. He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Betty Christianson of Camrose, Alberta, four step-children, Pat (Irene) Wilkerson of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Wendy (Wayne) Ghostkeeper of Slave Lake, Alberta, John (Dawn) Wilkerson of Edmonton, Alberta, Dorothy (Lorne) Fowler of Innisfail, Alberta, as well as his nieces, nephews and dear friends. Walter was predeceased by his first wife of forty-one years, Agnas in June 1986. All are welcome to come and pay their respects at Eventide Funeral Chapel one hour prior to the Funeral Service. A Public Funeral Service will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 – 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, December 9, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Alto-Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta.
