CAMPEAU

April 20, 2007

CAMPEAU July 4, 1940 – April 14, 2007 Rosalie Ann Bourne Campeau was a long time resident of Olds, Alberta, moving there in 1967 from Red Deer, her place of birth. Her occupation was that of a cook. She served up many scrumptious meals over the years at the Olds Legion, Olds Curling Rink, Olds Community College, Sunrise Café, Blue Yak, Olds Auction Mart, and the big red brick boarding house where she, Paul, and their five children resided. She had a deep love of gardening which came naturally, as she was born with a green thumb and could turn the most pitiful looking plants into luscious prized gems. She was a very good neighbor, always helping those in need, be they two legged humans or four legged felines. She could frequently be found sitting in a bingo hall hoping to yell Bingo! She is survived by her mother Betty Bourne of Red Deer, her daughter Chrysta Bourne of Kalispell, MT, her brother John and wife Sheila of Red Deer, her sister Loretta and husband Dee of Red Deer, step children Jacquie Hoare and husband Mike, Joanne Campeau and husband AJ, Cheryl Oberg and husband Kerry, and Brad Campeau, as well as many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, all from Calgary and Red Deer. She is preceded in death by her father Dave Bourne. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, April 28 at the Olds Legion, followed by a gathering at 3:00pm at the Blue Yak in Olds. All her friends and neighbours are welcome to attend both functions. Rose will be cremated and her ashes placed in the soil of the flower beds in which her hands spent many happy hours digging in. Mountain View Chapels, Olds is caring for the family. Donations can be made to a local Food Bank or Homeless Shelter.
