1951-2017

Carol Cooke of Red Deer, Alberta, lost her battle with cancer on September 19, 2017 at the Red Deer Hospice at the age of 66 years.

Carol was born in Nipawin, Sask. in 1951. She grew up in a farming background where she was her dad's right hand man.

She married and had two children in Garrick, Saskatchewan. She then helped to raise all her brothers and sisters. She moved to Red Deer and had a lengthy and enjoyable career owning and operating two gas stations. She also run a tree planting company with her first husband. She later transitioned into trucking where she hauled anything from asphalt to drilling rigs, that is where she met her current husband Bruce Cooke. Carol enjoyed cooking, baking, painting and gardening. And most of all spending time with her grand-daughter Keisjah.

She is survived by her husband Bruce; son Gord; daughter Tanya; granddaughters Keisjah and Dannielle, and step-daughter Chelsea. She is also be sadly missed by sisters Yvonne, Edie, Marjorie and Colleen; brothers Harold and Kelvin.

Carol was predeceased by her father Archie Milne and brother Bryan Milne.

A celebration of life for Carol will be held at Bentley Community Church, 4824 50st. Bentley on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.

Memorial donations in Carol's honour may be made to the Red Deer Hospice.
