Caroline Elizabeth Veres

Caroline Elizabeth passed away after a lengthy illness at the age of 87 at Sunrise Village in High River, Alberta. She was born in Altario, Alberta and was raised and went to school in Winfield, Alberta. Shortly after she was married to Richard Abbott in 1950 the couple moved to Calgary to start a family. Following Richard's passing in 1962, Caroline married Robert Veres. After her eldest children left the nest, she and Bob moved to Red Deer in 1978 to build their dream home on a beautiful hillside orchard. Prior to illness in her later years, she lived an industrious and robust life marked with lots of hard work, a beautiful home and garden and travel adventures with Bob. Caroline was meticulous with her home and personal appearance and received many well deserve compliments for both. She was preceded by her sister, Adeline Miller, and her parents, Peter and Elizabeth Wald of Winfield Alberta and is survived by a brother, Jim Wald (Evelyn) and a sister, Anne Johnston. Caroline was preceded by two husbands, Richard Albert Abbott (1926-1962) and Robert John Veres (1938 -1999). She is survived by five children; Dianne Abbott, Don Abbott (Judy McDaniel), Pauline Walsh, Bill Abbott, Caroline Krogman (Al Krogman) in addition to eight grandchildren; Renee Gallant (Darren Gallant), Casey Fraser (Niall Fraser), Vaughn Krogman, Victoria Krogman, Daniel Haigh, Montana Walsh, Connor Abbott, Charlie Abbott and three great-grandchildren.
