December 1, 1943 in Saint John, N.B to March 6, 2014 in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. Carro, beloved wife of Eric Fairbrother passed away Thursday March 6, 2014 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Saint John, N.B. residing in Alberta since 1962. In the beginning in Calgary then moving to Sylvan Lake, Alberta in 1990. Carro was the second daughter of James and Melda Gillett (nee Carr). Besides her husband of 51 years she is survived by three sisters Mavis Palardy (Richard) of Calgary, Shirley Beechin (Arthur) of Benalto, Hope Redekop (Patrick) of Blackfalds; one brother E.Wayne Gillett (Dianna) of West Bank B.C. Carro leaves to mourn her husband Eric; three sons E.Wayne of Calgary, Paul (Deanne) of Calgary and Gregory(Denice) of Red Deer; five grandchildren Joleen, Joel, Sydney, George, Kai and one chosen grandson Jace; three great grandchildren Angelina, Doninque, Aaliyah and chosen great granddaughter Lily; she is also survived by many many nieces and nephews whom to Carro were her children; also many cousins, one uncle and two aunts. Carro was predeceased by her son Bobby in 1992; her father Jim in 2002 and mother Melda in 2000. Carro worked in the retail sector for many years starting with Sobey's in N.B, beginning her western work life with I.G.A. Stores in Alberta then as part owner of Sorrento Supperette, moving to Sylvan Lake working at Cobb's A.G. Foods, then Lake side Esso, ending her career with Rona Hardware when cancer forced her to leave the work force. She was a super Mom the best Grandmother that a family could ask for and a friend and a super wife of 51 years.

Her love of family and friends and people, will remain with our family for generations to come. We remain behind to follow her example of what a good person can achieve in our world. Rest in peace our love, your work on earth has been completed. A Celebration of Carro's Life will be held at the Alliance Community Church, 4404-47 Ave Sylvan Lake, AB on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 2:00 P.M.
