Catherine Eunice (Kate) Svederus of Valley Centre passed away peacefully on Friday, June 22, 2012 at the age of 103 years. Kate was predeceased by her husband, Sven; three brothers and five sisters. She is survived by three sons, Ed (Fay), Bill (Kay), Keith (Jo-Ann) and one daughter, Mernie Alderson (Jerry); as well as eleven grandchildren and fifteen great - grandchildren. A celebration of Kate's life will be held at the Valley Centre Community Centre, Valley Centre on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Rosefield Centre, 5023 - 42 Street, Innisfail, Alberta, T4G 1A9.
