Sadly, we have lost Cathy to the Corona Virus. She passed peacefully in her home at Michener Extendicare on January 5th, 2021 at the age of 76 years.
She leaves to mourn her daughters, Larissa Seymour (John) of Vancouver, Lori (Kim Dorland) and grandsons Seymour and Tommy of Toronto. Also brother Greg Michalenko (Carroll) of Waterloo, Ontario.
Cathy dedicated her life to the nursing profession. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, University of Calgary and Mount Royal College. She was a nursing instructor at the Red Deer College for many years.
At a later date, Cathy will be laid to rest alongside her parents in the Ukrainian Orthodox Churchyard in Fedorah, Alberta, North of Edmonton.
Cathy's wish was for any expressions of sympathy to be directed to the Canadian Nurses Foundation or to the Red Deer College Foundation.
