Charles BARBER

BARBER Charles “Chuck” Barber of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on July 25, 2006 at the age of 87 years. Chuck was born on September 15, 1918. He served in the R.C.A.F during World War II. Afterwards he bought a ranch in the Consort area and married Helen Deagle in 1958. Chuck was a very hard working man, he loved ranching and greatly enjoyed the lifestyle. He retired to Red Deer in 1996. Chuck will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Helen, three siblings; Edith McConnell of Stewart Valley, Saskatchewan, Lyle Barber of Okotoks and Betty (Donald) Day of Consort as well numerous nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of all his family and dear friends. Chuck was predeceased by his parents; Phineas and Jean Barber, nine siblings; Gertrude, Jean, Eva, Thelma, Helen, Ann, John (Chuck’s twin brother), James and Dorothy. A Funeral Service will be held at the Knox United Church in Consort on Monday, July 31, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Charles Barber can be made to the charity of your choice.
