HAWORTH, Charles Donald (Don) Born in Viking May 14, 1931 passed away peacefully in Lacombe, Alberta on July 29th after a long illness. Don is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 52 years Lorna (nee: Park), his four sons; Kim (Maureen), Michael, Cameron (Leslie) and Patrick (Tomi-Lyn) plus 8 grand children and his devoted K-9 companion Maggie. Don is predeceased by Dr. George and Marjorie Haworth, his brother George and nephew Randy. Don spent his early years in Calgary and Lacombe as a key player on hockey teams such as the E.A.C and the Lacombe Rockets and remained actively involved in many sports both as a player and coach. Don worked in the oil patch for over 30 years spear heading a variety of popular "social clubs." He retired to Gull Lake and Montana in the early 90's.
