LEWIS Charles Edmund 1924 - 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, Charles Lewis, beloved husband of Helen Lewis on January 21, 2009 at Red Deer, Alberta. Charles was born on August 9, 1924 in the Dummer district of Sask where he was raised and lived his life. Charles still actively farmed in the area until his passing. In 2006, he proudly received the Century Family Farm Award for the 100 year anniversary of the family homestead. Family, farming, music and sports were the things he enjoyed most in his life, and a good cup of coffee. Left to cherish his memory; loving wife of 56 years, Helen and children Valorie (David) Gaillard, Amber, Curtis (Kerry), Nicole; Gaylene Lewis-Johns, Tessa; Brent (Debra) Lewis, Derek; Bart Lewis, Remy; Ward (Tracey) Lewis, Ellen, Mitchell, Liam; sister Florence Lewis, brother Allan (Rose) Lewis and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Albert and Mildred Lewis, brothers James and Frank, mother-in-law Tessie Such, brother-in-law, Eugene Such, grandson Brett Lewis (2006) and son-in-law John Johns (2003). The family invites friends to join them in celebration of Charles' life on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 2:00 pm. at Westminster United Church, 3025 13th Ave., Regina, SK. The family would like to thank the nurses, Doctors and staff at the Red Deer Regional Hospital for their kindness and care.
