Charles Perry
Charles Perry Fox of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the age of 90 years. He was born October 18,1923 in Youngstown, Alberta and was raised in a farming community west of Olds. Charles joined the air force in 1942 earning his "wings". He was released in 1945 and returned to his farming community. He rejoined the air force in 1954. After retiring from the service in 1970 he and his family moved to Red Deer where he worked for the County of Red Deer until again retiring in 1990. Charles enjoyed computers, photography and especially gardening and his love of dogs spread throughout his family. Many in his neighbourhood will miss all his kindnesses. Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Sarah Ellen; three children, Robert (Lesley) Fox, David (Donna) Fox and Margo (Myles) Jacobs; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A private service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Alzheimer's Society.
