LAIRD Cheryl Lynn (nee Bjarnason) We, the family of Cheryl Lynn Laird are deeply saddened to announce her sudden passing on August 8, 2008. Cheryl, the 4th daughter of Dave and Edna Bjarnason, was born October 24, 1962 at Innisfail, Ab. Raised in the Spruce View area she took all of her schooling at Spruce View School, graduating in 1980. In November 1980 Cheryl married her best friend and soul mate, Mike Laird. During their marriage, Cheryl pursued a 23 year career with Community Savings in Innisfail. After the birth of their son Ryan, in December 1999, Cheryl changed her career aspirations, taking a Unit Clerk course at Red Deer College. After graduating, she proudly began working at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Cheryl was a capable, competent and caring; wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and colleague. This we know… this we have ample evidence of… this is a woman whose life blessed others with her many gifts, a woman who will be missed by those who loved her and were loved by her. Cheryl was predeceased by one sister; Wendy in 1958, and her mom and best friend Edna in May 2006. Cheryl will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Ryan of Innisfail and his father Mike Laird of Penhold; father Dave Bjarnason of Innisfail; 4 sisters and their families Jolene Bjarnason of Innisfail, Rosalie Paliwoda of Redcliff, Lois Muddle of Red Deer and Loretta Matthews of Rimbey Ab. For Cheryl's life and all that she has meant to us, we are profoundly grateful; in love, she will be remembered forever. We bless her with all of our love and prayers and wish her well on her journey with the angels.
