DODD, Chester Chester (Ches) Clifford Dodd passed away peacefully with his family by his side in the Olds Hospital on Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at the age of 88 years. Ches was born on April 17, 1916 and raised on the family farm east and north of town. He resided there until he retired to Olds in 1973, where he lived until his passing. Ches was united in marriage to Louise Dobson on May 21, 1937. He was always known for his hearty laugh and good nature. He was a life member of the Olds Elks Lodge and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Ches was predeceased by his parents John and Marie Dodd, five brothers and two sisters. Ches leaved behind to mourn his passing his loving wife of 67 years, Louise, one son Duane (Ruth) Dodd of Olds, two daughters Yvonne (Raymond) Miller of Olds and Donna (Clint) Allen of Lacombe, seven grand-children, ten great grand-children, numerous nieces and nephews and very good friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 3, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Olds United Church. Interment will follow at the Olds Cemetery.
