April 13, 2007

FISCHER Christopher "Chris" Dean May 31, 1976 ~ April 6, 2007 Chris went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Good Friday, April 6, 2007. He is now playing basketball on the best court in the best place with the best players of all time – God’s chosen. He has the best fans in the world, his grandparents who never saw him play on earth. He leaves to mourn his passing his parents, Don and Elaine Fischer of Sylvan Lake; sister, Kim Fischer of Bentley, Alberta and Tom Graham; maternal grandmother Olga Engelstad of Cochrane, Alberta; aunt, Marilyn (Len) Yakiwchuk of Cochrane, Alberta and their sons, Jamie (Scarlet) and their family of Airdrie, Alberta and Kelly (Addy) of Portland, Oregon; uncle, Les (Diane) Fischer of Strathmore, Alberta and their sons, Cam (Heather) of Edmonton, Alberta and Mike (Amberley) of Hamilton, Ontario; special friends Darrin Horseman of Calgary, Alberta, Craig Steiner of Edmonton, Alberta, and Zach Fawcett and Matt Shimkus both of Chicago, Illinois; and numerous friends from his many walks in life. God had blessed Chris in so many ways during his short life, the last being a job with HSE Integrated in Red Deer as an Oilfield Medic, a job he said he loved. Chris had a quiet faith, but he loved His Savior and is now spending eternity with Him. This is not goodbye Chris, but until we meet again. A Funeral Service for the late Chris Fischer will be held at the Alliance Community Church, Sylvan Lake on Friday, April 13, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Haugan officiating.
