LAWRENCE

Christopher

1998 - 2014

It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, as a result of an accident, Christopher 'Chris' Michael Lawrence near East Coulee, Alberta on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the age of 15 years. Chris was born on July 21, 1998 at Red Deer, Alberta and spent his early years in Penhold, Alberta and Red Deer. At the age of seven, the family moved to Blackfalds, Alberta, where Chris attended Iron Ridge Elementary Campus. He was well liked and made many friends there. Chris went on to attend school in Red Deer and also Innisfail for his Junior and Senior High but realized early on that the world would be his true classroom. Chris recently moved to Innisfail, where he had met Kristina Kinder, who very quickly became one of the most important parts of his life. He had been attending High School until obtaining employment in the Construction Industry for the summer months. Chris's ambition was to become a Heavy Duty Mechanic like his Grandpa Blauel, with whom he shared a very special bond. Chris was an avid skateboarder spending entire days at the Skatepark when he could. We all feel such emptiness within but will cherish the many loving memories of our dear son, grandson, great grandson, brother, nephew and friend in our hearts forever. Chris will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Nicole Blauel and stepfather, Dave Sutherland of Blackfalds, Alberta, his father, Michael Lawrence of Red Deer, his girlfriend, Kristina Kinder of Innisfail, Alberta and his brothers and sister, Trevor Blauel, Riley Sutherland and Kieran Sutherland, all of Blackfalds. He will also be very sadly missed by his Grandparents, Laurel Blauel, Doreen and Frank Mardian, all of Red Deer, Bill Lawrence of Penhold, Ian and Pamela Sutherland of St. Albert, Alberta and Heather and Albert Cramette of Red Deer; his great grandparents, Ken and Melba Stuart of Red Deer, Rose Mardian of Kindersly, Saskatchewan and Gladys Bigg of St. Albert; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and all his friends. Chris was predeceased by his grandpa, Barry Blauel. A Celebration of Chris's Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Chris's honor may be made directly to the Red Deer & District S.P.C.A. at www.reddeerspca.com or to a charity of the donor's choice.
