SCHROEDER - ANDREEFF

Christy Renee

1970 - 2014

Christy Renee Andreeff of Lacombe, Alberta passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on June 2, 2014, at the age of 43 years when she was escorted by angels into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father. Christy was born on July 18, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta where she lived until she finished grade three. She then moved to Sylvan Lake and attended the Eckville School for grade four before moving to Lacombe where her family has resided since 1980. Christy enjoyed figure skating, ringette, skiing, riding dirt bikes and horses. She spent many summers at Circle Square Ranch Camp both as a camper and as a volunteer. She was an avid reader and she loved to tan more than she wanted to swim! She worked in a variety of positions during her life and after suffering with severe back pain for several years, was in the process of re-entering the work force. However, she never left any doubt that the job she loved the most was being a mother. Her five kids meant everything to her and she never ended a conversation without telling them she loved them. She leaves to mourn her passing, her mother and father, Debra and Gunther Schroeder of Lacombe, her brother Kurt (Lyn) Schroeder of Progreso, Mexico, her dearly loved children, Nick, Luke, Katarina, Angelica and Alexa Andreeff and the father of her children, Jim Andreeff. She will be lovingly remembered by her maternal grandmother, Helene Zeliznik, and her paternal grandmother, Erika Schroeder, as well as by her Aunt Valerie (Barry) Garding, Aunt Robin (Glen) Bird, and Aunt Inge (Ken) Kluk, her two nephews Evan and Noah Schroeder, and her many cousins and good friends. Christy was predeceased by her grandfather, Bill Zeliznik, and her Oma, Klara Schroeder, and Opa, Harry Schroeder. Although our hearts are broken today, we are comforted by the assurance and our unfailing hope that she is now with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, in heaven and that we, as believers, will be reunited with her for eternity. Christy had a heart for children and donations can be made to a charity of your choice in her name. A celebration of Christy's life will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11 a.m. A private interment will take place at a later time.
