Clara LANK

LANK Clara Lank (nee Steinbach) of Sylvan Lake, AB passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Friday, November 24th, 2006. Clara was a very special lady who's character and great inner strength touched all who came to know and love her. Her family would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to all the staff at the Sylvan Lake Lodge for their wonderful care and support given to Mom over the past seven years. To all her fellow lodge residents whose friendship and companionship was so special "Thank You" for this. A special "Thank You" to Dr. Niemand and Associates, nurses and staff of the Red Deer Regional Hospital for the wonderful care they extended to our Mother during her stay there. She will be lovingly remembered and will be greatly missed by her five children; Arnie (Iris) Lank of Spruceview, AB, Dennis (Emily) Lank of Ponoka, AB, Brian (Norma) Lank of Grande Prairie, AB, Gail (Leroy) Schlamp of Estevan, SK, Kathy (Larry) Wheaton of Raduzhney, Russia, 12 grand children and 13 great grand children; Darcy (Gerri) Jordan and Josh Lank, Carla (Fred) Tia, Delaney and Kolson Moore, Jeff (Aimee) Madeline and Zoey Lank, Kelly (John) Ryan and Corrina Bell, Lorrie (Dave) Heaslip, Jim (Tracy) Kelsey and Amy Lank, Brad (Karen) Bergen and Kamryn Schlamp, Jared (Kristen) Schlamp, Kimberly Schlamp, Darwin (Suzy Ball) Chambers, Daniel Chambers and Christine Chambers. She is also survived by 2 brothers; Wilfred Steinbach and Clarence Steinbach both of Vegreville, AB. She was predeceased by her husband Algie Lank and infant son Richard, her parents John and Katherine Steinbach, 3 brothers and 1 sister. A Funeral Service will be held at the Vegreville United Church on Friday, December 1, 2006 at 1:00 pm. Officiating the service will be Rev. Lorraine Lambert. Interment will follow at the Vegreville Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Clara’s honor to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society, or the Heart and Stoke Foundation.
