Clara SCHULTZ

SCHULTZ (nee Davidson) Clara Ann May 04, 1932 - March 3, 2009 Clara of Innisfail, AB., passed away at the University of Alberta Hospital surrounded by her family. She was companion, wife and unfailing supporter to Ronald W. for 56 years. She was the mother of Leslie Ann (deceased), Brian William (Cathy), Roni Marie Wedderien (Eric), Vicki Lynn, Valerie Florence Bernardi (Dave). A loving grandmother to Leeann, Samantha and Willy Wedderien, Zack and Madison Bernardi, Nathan and Simone Schultz. She was the oldest child of Walter and Bertha Davidson (Both deceased) of Cabri, Sask., a sister to Glenn (Irene) of Gull Lake, Sask., Lee (Sharon) of Swift Current, Sask., Alan (deceased), sister-in-law to Stan (Eileen) Schultz of Red Deer, AB., her aunt Mi (Margaret) of Hillcrest, AB, who she traveled to Scotland with to the ancestral home in Wick. Numerous nieces and nephews in Sask. and AB., cousins in Canada, USA, and Scotland. Clara was born at the original farm of her grand parents in the Gavrelle District, North of Cabri. She took her schooling in Gavrelle in a one room school and in Cabri. After marrying Ron, Clara became a world traveler and resided in Fosterton, Alida, Sask., Bashaw, Lodgepole, Innisfail, Alberta, Tripoli, Libya in North Africa, Balikpapan, Island of Borneo and Jakarta, Island of Java and Indonesia. Wherever she lived and traveled she made many life long friends and brought back many memories. She loved her curling, in her later years spent many hours watching it on TV while knitting toques and other items to donate to the Christmas bureau in Innisfail. Her most important things were her children and grandchildren and she was very proud of their accomplishments. She is now with her daughter and parents. The Family would like to thank Guardian Ambulance Service, Innisfail RCMP, RDRH Trauma unit, STARS helicopter staff, and U of A Hospital Cardiac Care Staff. We were so blessed to have the staff and doctors of both hospitals and STARS trying to save Clara's life and to make the end as comfortable as possible for her. A memorial to celebrate her life will be held in Innisfail at a later date as, at her request, her body was assigned to the Tissue and Anatomy Depts. of the U of A with the hope that it will be able to benefit the living.
