Clifford BLACK

BLACK Clifford Carl Black, born October 25, 1942 in Russell, Manitoba, passed away suddenly in Jackson, Mississippi on December 25, 2005. Cliff spent his formative years in Foxwarren and the surrounding area. After finishing school, Cliff enlisted in the Canadian Airforce. He served across the country and over-seas. He also travelled around the world with the military. Cliff remained in the Airforce until 1992, when he retired as a Sergeant. After walking his daughter, Dana Marie, down the aisle in 1992, Cliff moved to Red Deer, Alberta. Here, Cliff held numerous delivery positions to keep himself busy. His final position took him to the Jackson, Mississippi area, where he passed away from a heart- attack. During his life, Clifford served his country, travelled the world, walked his daughter down the aisle, and sent his son, Mark Alexander, to university. He enjoyed traveling and sports, and loved his family. He was quick to make friends anywhere he went. He will be missed by all. Clifford Carl Black was pre-deceased by: his father, Alexander Black; his mother, Harriet (Hattie) Black (Brady); three brothers, Donald Alexander, John Allan Duncan, Walter Alexander; three sisters, Margaret (Peggy) Katheline Young, Mae Johnston, and Grace Hazel Johnston. He is survived by his: brother Donald Black; sister Annie Ellen Carr; daughter Dana Marie Carole Burgess (Philip Burgess); son Mark Alexander Black (Krista Brown); grand-daughters Kalista Katarina Brown-Black, Ariel Grace Burgess, Bridget Morgan Burgess; grand-son Duncan Stanley Burgess; and many nephews and nieces. The funeral was held January 7, 2006 from the Braendle-Bruce Funeral Chapel in Russell, Manitoba. The Reverend Dwight Rutherford presided. Interment followed in the Foxwarren Cemetery. If friends so desire donations may be made in memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada. Braendle-Bruce Funeral Service of Russell, Manitoba were in care of arrangements.
