Cody Douglas

It is with deepest sadness that the family announces Cody's sudden death on November 12th, 2009 in the Ponoka area. Cody is survived by his wife Brookes, parents Murray and Charlotte of Regina, brother Trevor Benning, (Nicole) Zoe and Sami Benning, sister Michelle and brother Morgan, Granny Ardeth Hughes, mother-in-law Sherry Wallace and sister-in law Bobbie Wallace, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Cody was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Uncle Harold Henshaw and father- in-law Jim Wallace. Cody was born September 8, 1978 and raised on the family farm near Southey Sask. He loved the wide open spaces of the farm, running wild and free with his siblings, riding the trike and running the farm equipment. In high school he loved to play football on the local high school team. A celebration of Cody's life will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home on Thursday, November 19 at 2:00 p.m. with lunch to follow immediately after at the Legion Hall. A private family graveside service will be held at the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Southey, Sask. Saturday, November 21, 2009 In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the MS Society #105, 4807-50th Ave. Red Deer, AB T4N 4A5, or your local mental health chapter.
