It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Connie Gay Schmidt, who chose the name Tania, at her home, on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the age of 73 years. Connie 'Tania' was born in Red Deer, Alberta on February 20, 1944. Connie is survived by her nieces and nephews, and many friends. She was predeceased by parents, Emil and Ruth Schmidt; her siblings, Frank Schmidt, Ray Schmidt, Laura Van Slyke, Eleanor Dixon and Carole Deering. The family would also like to thank the professionals and special care givers who helped Connie 'Tania' over the years. Family and friends will gather to honour Connie 'Tania' at the Parkland Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 6287 - 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
