O'KEEFE Mr. Jack Paul Thomas O'Keefe passed away at home peacefully with his loving family around him on February 14, 2006 at the age of 75 years, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Jack was born on August 1, 1930 in Millenette, Ontario. Jack was a warm and caring and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. After 35 years of service in the Royal Canadian Air Force, he and June retired in Sylvan Lake to enjoy doing the things he loved to with his family; fishing, hunting and camping. Jack will be sadly missed, but lovingly remember and forever cherished in the hearts of his family and dear friends. He leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife of 53 years June; his children and their families: daughter Debbie (John) O'Brien of Sylvan Lake and their children: Robert (Kimberly), Nicole (Shawn), Darren (Carrie), Richard (Katrina) and Tammy as well as 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; daughter Katherine (Richard) Bignell of Penhold and their children: Tina, Natasha (Carl), Thera (Garret), Kelly (Amy), Darcy (Stephanie) as well as great grandchildren Breanna, Mattox, Jaxon, and Zayden; son Michael O'Keefe, and daughter-in-law Yvonne of Wabamum and his children: Shawn, Dean and Michael Gary; daughter Maureen O'Keefe of Sylvan Lake and her children: Shauna (Steve) and Stephanie as well as great grandchildren Nethaniel, Cailee, Jena, Augustina; daughter Sheila (Bill) Code-O'Keefe of Red Deer and their children: Katrina and Trystin; son Thomas (Heather) of Belleville, Illinios, U.S.A.; daughter Teri (Mike) Rose of Sylvan Lake and their children: Jacob, Rebecca "Jessica"; Special child Gayle of Spruce Grove and her children Justinne and Spence; also his sister Marg (Adam) Jokat of Sudbury, Ont.; niece Peggy Charbonneau-Rice and nephews Pete and Joe Charbonneau of Skead, Ont.; and his mother in law Hazel Langridge of Red Deer. Jack will also be very sadly missed by his special uncle Ted Maron, and many, many extended family members and dear friends. Jack is predeceased by his mother, father, sister Marion, brother Grant and son-in-law Terry. Prayers for the late Jack O'Keefe will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 7 P.M. from the Chapel of the Sylvan Lake Funeral Home, 5019 47 A Ave, Sylvan Lake. A Mass of the Christian Burial for the Late Jack O'Keefe will be held from the Our Lady of The Assumption Catholic Church, 5033 47A Ave on Friday February 17, 2006 at 2 :00 P.M. with Celebrant Father Victor Eze officiating. Cremation entrusted to the Rocky Mountain Crematorium. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made in Jack's honour directly to a charity of the donor's choice.
