Constance Emily Vera Alton, 89, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away on April 3, 2014. She was born in Manchester, England on February 17, 1925 to Thomas and Emily Lynch. She moved from England to Red Deer, Alberta in 1944, to Santa Barbara, California in 1979, and finally to Vancouver, Washington in 1998. Constance was a homemaker who enjoyed needlepoint, petit point, knitting, crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile. Constance is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (John) Waterhouse and Cindy (Steve) Mitchell; son, Tony Alton; grandsons, Scott and Brent Waterhouse; sister-in-law, Gwen Lynch; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, N. Clarence Alton; both parents; brothers, Stan, Alf, and Geoff Lynch; sister, Winn Kleeberger; and several nephews. A private funeral was held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Chapel in Vancouver, Washington on April 10, 2014. Please send donations to Shriners Hospital for Children.
