CURRIE 1925 – 2008 Mrs. Mary "Evelyn" Currie of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the age of 82 years. Evelyn was born on August 24, 1925 at Pierson, Manitoba. She married Hardie in 1949 and resided in Manitoba until moving to Alsask, Saskatchewan in 1972, then to Delburne in 1983 and Red Deer in 1987 where she resided until her passing. Evelyn is survived by two sons, George (Darlene) Currie of Provost, Alberta, Gerry (Kathie) Currie of Austin, Manitoba, a daughter, Diane (Bill) Tirrell of Red Deer, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two brothers, Frank (Marion) Crossman, Glen (Lorraine) Crossman both of Pierson, Manitoba and a sister, Margaret Gibson of Brandon, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her husband, Hardie and her caring companion, Mervin. A Memorial Service will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820-45 Street, Red Deer on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at the Delburne Cemetery, Delburne, Alberta.
