VANSTONE, David Frederic (Lee)
July 6, 1933 - Nov. 22, 2016
Lee passed away peacefully on November 22, 2016 with his daughter Debbie at his side. Lee was born in Campbell River and spent his younger years on northern Vancouver Island with his mother. He married Olive Sayles in 1950 and moved to Sechelt circa 1962. Lee spent most of his working career in the forestry industry and retired to a new house be built primarily by himself. Lee will be sadly missed by his family, special cousin Grace Kowbel and his many friends. Lee was predeceased by his parents James (Jim) and Madeline Vanstone and his partners Evelyn McKinnon.
He is survived by his three children; Steven Vanstone of Elnora, AB; Kathy Peterson (Bill) of Red Deer, AB; Debbie Hovland (Dean) of Delburne, AB; grandchildren Jamie Moore (Matt) of Kamloops, BC; Dave Hovland (Alana) of Delburne, AB, Mercy Hovland (Wes) of Sechelt, BC.; and one step-grandchild, Emily Walsh Newfoundland.
As per Lee's wishes, there will be no service and his ashes will be spread privately by his children.
