It is with heavy hearts that the family of David Milligen announce his passing while on vacation in Arkansas. David was born in Sunnyslope, Alta, the 4th of 6 children to Robert and Sadie Milligen.

Playing hockey and baseball and getting into mischief were the highlight of his youth. He spent much of his work life hauling gravel, water and asphalt around southern and central Alberta, where he made many friends along the way. He liked nothing better than sharing a story at the local coffee shop or Tim Hortons.

Dave particularly enjoyed his many years working at Border Paving. Wintering in Corpus Christi for 20 years was another of his most favourite things. David and wife Barbara just missed celebrating their 59th anniversary. He thought 60 would be cool. He leaves his wife and their 3 daughters, Sandi (Doug Grodaes), Kelly (Randy Lishchynsky) and Kathy (Dave Mykyte in Arkansas), 2 grandchildren Zachary McCauley and Samantha Altom and 2 beautiful great grandsons Evin Altom and Owen McCauley (in Arkansas), his older sister Isabel Murray and many special nieces and nephews.

As per David's wishes, there will not be a funeral and his ashes will be scattered on the beach at Corpus Christi at a later date. David would wish that his many coffee friends might raise a cup in remembrance.
