VOLKER Deborah Lee It is with great sadness that the family of Debi Volker announce her passing on February 23, 2009 at the age of 44 years. Debi will be lovingly remembered by her three children, sons Jeremy and Jordan and daughter Janelle; her father, Leslie (Ellen) Jones of Cremona, AB, and mother, Rita (Max) Drews of Calgary, AB; brother, Darrell (Alison) Jones of Bragg Creek, AB; step-brother, Darryl (Colleen) Drews of Calgary, AB; brothers-in-law, Albert (Eleanor) Volker and Donald (Roberta) Volker, all of Delburne, AB; step-sisters, Alana Reed of Calgary, Debby (Tim) McCracken of Waco, TX and Lisa Mischchenko of London, ON; sisters-in-law, Donna (Larry) Thompson, Doreen (Ken) Jones, Jean (Ed) Hovey, Lynn (Merlyn) Goldie and Lorie (John Desjardins) Martin, all of Delburne, AB, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Debi was predeceased by her grandmother, Vi Jones and mother and father-in-law, Kenneth and Anna Volker. Debi will always be remembered for having the most infectious smile and laugh. She was well known for being the most loving and caring person who would do anything she could to help someone, especially her children who were her pride and joy! She was strong and courageous, tender and sweet. Debi will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her; this will never be 'goodbye' as we will always have a piece of her love in our hearts. Funeral Services for Debi were held at the Delburne Community Hall Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Delburne Servus Credit Union where a trust fund has been set up for Debi's children.
