GATHERCOLE Debra Ann Debra Ann Gathercole of Sylvan Lake, born on December 7, 1962, passed away at the age of 44 years in the Red Deer Regional Hospital after a long struggle with C.O.P.D. Debbie was best known to her family and friends as "the Duck". She will be remembered as a person who loved to laugh and share a good joke. Debbie was a free spirit with the love of travel. Her favorite memories were her travels to the Mediterranean. Debbie also enjoyed her travels to the mountains to do some fishing. Debbie was a good friend to many people who were considered by herself as an extension of her family. Debbie is loved and will be missed by many people. Our "Ducky" has now gone to heaven to be with her father Roy Gathercole of Sylvan Lake as well as her infant son Tanner Levi Gathercole. Debbie is survived by her two sons Tyler James Roy Gathercole and Levi James Gathercole both of Sylvan Lake. She is also survived by her mothers Vera Murray of Grande Prairie and Linda Sawatzky of Calgary; her aunts and uncles Walter and Bette Gathercole of Sylvan Lake, Inez Gathercole of Sylvan Lake, Mary Darlington of Eckville, Gwen and Earl Beck of Red Deer, Gordon and Nonie Vincent of North Battleford, Saskatchewan; cousins Steve and Laurie Gathercole of Sylvan Lake, and Karen and Doug Hope of Rocky Mountain House; her half brother and sister David (Susan) Sawatzky and 2 children of Calgary and Tamara Rouppt and 3 children of Calgary; sister Brenda Haslim and 2 children; family friend George Collins of Calgary; and special life long friends Cindy and Stephen Mason of Clive, Lorraine Hawkes of Ponoka, and Kathy Harron of Medicine Hat as well as many cousins, family and friends to numerous to mention. A Funeral Service for the Late Debbie Gathercole will be held at the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Sylvan Lake on Monday, May 28, 2007 at 1:30 P.M.
