In loving memory ~
Mr. Dennis Lee Kennett of Red Deer County, passed away at home while watering the garden on Friday, June 9, 2023, at the age of 79 years. Dennis was born in Edmonton on October 5, 1943. He grew up on the family farm at Busby, Alberta, and went to school at Alcomdale, and Riviere Qui Barre, both in Alberta. Dennis met Sharon in Red Deer and they were married on April 15, 1967. In 1970, they purchased his parents' farm at Busby and had two children, Lonny and Karmen. They moved to Red Deer and purchased another farm east of Red Deer, where they raised Buffalo and cattle while running his first company, Solid Wireline. Dennis sold his share of the company in 1985 and started LonKar Services. In 1994, he sold that company and concentrated on farming full-time in semi-retirement. Dennis will be lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-six years, Sharon; his three children, Geraldine (Darren), Lonny (Jennifer) and Karmen (Serge); his nine grandchildren; his four great-grandchildren; his two sisters, Gloria (George), and Melody; his brother, Neil; his sisters-in-law Arla, Marie, and Rose Mary; and his brother-in-law, Franklin; as well as numerous family members and dear friends. Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Ruth Kennett and a brother, Fred. A Funeral Service will be held at CrossRoads Church, 38105 Range Road 275, Red Deer County, Alberta on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. For those unable to attend, Dennis' Funeral Service will be live-streamed at www.crossroadschurch.ca/livefunerals.
