TRAHAN Derek James Trahan, born November 10, 1955 passed away August 25, 2005, due to diabetes. Parents Noreen and Jim Trahan are predeceased. Son Tanner, (Grand Prairie). Siblings, Ernie Borley (Calgary), Cass Trahan (Calgary), Peggy and Mike Noyes (Rocky Mountain House), Sheila and Mike Ruby (Eckville), Shauna Trahan (Ponoka), Kevin Trahan (Calgary), Cherie Trahan (Stettler) and extended brother Lenny Greenwood (Edmonton). Derek was born and raised in Ponoka. He met many people over the years and made many friends, lots of parties and lots of laughs. Funeral Services were provided by, Bowker Funeral Homes Ponoka Limited, and held at the Legion Branch 66. Service was performed by Pastor David from the Lutheran Church Trinity, at 2:00 p.m. August 30, 2005, and Tribute “Alice’s Restaurant†was played. Sandwiches and refreshments provided by the women of Ponoka Legion Branch 66.
