DIGGLE It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Mr. Harry (Joseph Henry) Diggle of Rimbey, Alberta; farmer, construction worker, plumber, insulator, and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Harry passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the age of 83 years. Harry's family will remember the many good times shared with him … summers at the lake, boating, water skiing and hanging out with extended family … as well as winter tobogganing, downhill skiing, and peace and justice activism. In later years, there was also camping, mountain hiking, bird watching, canoeing, exploring the country, and DANCING! Missing Harry very much is his beloved wife of 53 years, Lorna; as well as his children and grandchildren: Art (Anna) of Perth, Australia and their children, Isaac, Yves and Bryn; Joe (Maureen) of Calgary and their daughter, Colleen (Bruce) and two special great grand- children, Josephine and Leo; and Margaret (Dave) of Calgary and their children, Kara and Laura. He will also be missed by two sisters, Annie (Mike) Polushin of Rimbey; and Peggie Gibbons of Edmonton; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. A Public Memorial Service in Celebration of Harry's Life was held at the Rimbey United Church, Rimbey on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Deborah Laing officiating. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. If friends desire, memorial tributes in Harry's Memory may be made directly to the charity of one's choice.
