Dilys Elizabeth
Passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday July 9, 2014. Dilys was born on September 15, 1921 in Elnora, Alberta. She was a graduate of the Calgary General Hospital nursing program class of 44. After a period of employment with Burns & Company she joined the Royal Canadian Navy as a nursing sister and retired with the rank of Lieutenant RCN. Dilys is survived by her loving husband Edward William Achtymichuk, her son Barry Achtymichuk (Alana), her daughter Pamela Achtymichuk (Warren), her three adoring grandchildren Terra Achtymichuk, Mattix and Jace Smith and sister-in-law Marilyn Roberts. She is predeceased by her beloved son Terry Lloyd Achtymichuk in August 1976. Her parents Lloyd and Annie Roberts and her brother Frank Maclean Roberts. A special thank you to Dr. Theodore Rosenberg and his staff. Thank you to the nursing staff at Royal Oak Health unit and to the home support services. In keeping with the wishes of Dilys there will be no funeral service. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
