In Loving Memory ~

Dolores 'Fay' Wigelsworth (nee Harvey) passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the age of 92 years.

Fay was born in Milden, SK on May 1, 1931, the youngest and only daughter to Lee and Mary Harvey. She grew up on the family farm and in her teenage years enjoyed trucking grain and helping her dad with the harvest. She took all her schooling in Milden, with the exception of her last year, which she took in Rosetown, SK.

She was a member of the C.G.I.T. and an active member of the United Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She loved to sing and play act, taking part in many local concerts and plays.

She was a member of the Royal Purple for many years. Fay worked in the local hardware store and lumber yard.

At 21, she moved to Calgary, where she worked and later married a widower with two daughters, whom she raised. In 1957 they moved to Grande Prairie, where she lived for 28 years. Active in many organizations and drama, Fay was also a bookkeeper and worked for several firms, the last one being CJXX.

In 1986, she was transferred to CKRD in Red Deer, where she continued to reside until her passing. Fay retired in 1996 and enjoyed some travel and looking after her lovable little dog 'Muffy'.

Fay was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Pilot Officer Jack Harvey, shot down over Holland on July 21, 1944, and her brother, Lloyd Harvey on July 23, 1944.

The passing of her only two brothers was a very sad time for her parents and herself.

She was also predeceased by her little dog 'Muffy', whom she had had for 16 and a half years.

She leaves to her memory several close friends.

A cremation was held with Prairie Rose Cremation & Funeral Services in Red Deer. At Fay's request, there will be no service. If desired, memorial donations in Fay's memory may be made to the local S.P.C.A.
