Dolores Ida Garrett (nee Ward) passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice on September 18, 2017, at the age of 76.

Dolores was born in Red Deer and raised on her parents' farm by Sylvan Lake. She met and married the love of her life Donald Garrett in 1959, and they raised three children.

Dolores worked at the Penhold Air Base and at the Employment Office in Red Deer, from which she retired in 1995. She enjoyed travelling to Nevada and Arizona, crafting, gardening, good food, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband Don Garrett of Red Deer, their children Dan (Tina) Garrett of Red Deer, Darcy (Brenda) Garrett of Red Deer, and Sandy (Ian) Warwick of Red Deer, her sister Marion (Bill) Rowat of Red Deer, her brothers Monty (Sharon Spearing) Ward of Toefield, and Peter Ward of Red Deer, as well as four grand children, a great grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents, Bea and James Henry Ward, and two brothers, Tommy Ward and Jimmy (Brenda) Ward.

Following Dolores's wishes, no service will be held. Condolences can be sent to GarrettFamily@telus.net and memorial donations can be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society.

Dolores will always be deeply loved and sadly missed.
