Dona passed away peacefully at the age of 90.
Our beloved mother leaves, not to mourn, but to always love and remember; her loving children Steven (Joanne) Anderson, Susan (Joel) McCutcheon, Anna (Hal) Dial; her grandchildren, Chad (Paula) Anderson, Shawn Anderson, Brad (Chalsey) Anderson, Trisha (Dwayne) Donald, Joanne (Pat) Steffes, Matt (Rhonda) McCutcheon, Josh (Malina) Dial; 11 great grandchildren; her beloved sister, Letty Kangas, numerous dear nieces and nephews and many friends.
Dona was predeceased by her husband, Herman Anderson, in 1967; her daughter, Hope, who died in infancy; her husband William Andrusyshyn in 1997; her sister, Agnes Ruth; and her brother, Alec Strem.
Her family thanks the entire staff of the ER, ICU, Surgery unit 21, and Unit 32 Palliative Care of the Red Deer Regional Hospital for the care and compassion Dona and her family received.
As per her wishes, there will be no funeral. However, an interment and celebration of life will be held in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to unit 32 Palliative Care at the Red Deer Regional Hospital.
