GOWING, Donald George Mr. Donald George Gowing, beloved spouse of Dorothy Clement passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, November 14, 2004 at the age of 65 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Donald's memory will be cherished by his son Kevin as well as by his spouse's daughter, Marta. Grandchildren, Drew and Elaine will further cherish his memory. He is further survived by his brothers, Norman, Kenny and Bob as well as sister Doreen. Two sisters and two brothers predecease him. Donald was born in Turner Valley, Alberta and moved around a bit in his younger years. He served in the Navy for three years and became a capable helicopter pilot. After leaving the Navy he continued to utilize his helicopter pilot's license flying equipment for Oilfield Exploration Company's in Canada's Northern Regions. Due to his diabetes Donald was unable to maintain his helicopters license. This turn of events caused Donald to embark upon a new career. He found fulfillment and success in carpentry work and construction. He enjoyed this work for many years. Cremation has been entrusted to Parkland funeral Home.
