DONALD ROBERT DARLING
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic death of Don Darling on Tuesday December 2nd, 2014.
Born to Bill and Flo Darling of Red Deer, Alberta in 1944, he was the first of five children. Don married the love of his life Pam (née Soderstrom) in 1969, who predeceased him in September of this year.
He is survived by their two children, Shawna and Brent; siblings, Bill (Sharon), David, Dixie (Jim Wyszynski), and Larry (Sherry); in-laws Rod (Elly) Soderstrom, Doug (Sandy) Soderstrom, Norman Soderstrom, and Laurie (John) Morrison; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Don graduated from SAIT and worked as a Journeyman Auto Body Mechanic for many years before becoming an Industrial Electrician and eventually running a well-regarded auto detailing business with his wife.
We will forever miss his animated storytelling, kindness, laughter, and generous spirit.
Service to be held December 11th, 2014 at 11a.m. Cavallotti Lodge, 2060 East Wellington Rd, Nanaimo BC.
