In Loving Memory ~

Donald Shelest on Monday, January 15th, 2024, at the age of 86, Dad, Gido, Brother and Friend was taken home peacefully to be with his wife Marjorie.

Don is lovingly remembered by his son, Donnie (Linda); daughter, Alana; grandchildren, Dallas (Anna), Tyller (Carter), Andrea (Jarret), Lyle (Ceilidhe), Dylan (Erin) and Alicia (Traviss); and six great grandchildren; his most treasured sister, Katherine Gordey; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Don was predeceased by his parents, Milka & John Shelest and by the love of his life, Marjie "Baba".

After retiring from the Alberta Government as a Journeyman welder and Heavy Duty Mechanic in 1994, he took on many jobs, (universal rig) going to work with his son, and hot shotting vehicles down south, oh how he loved having his class 1 still at 86.

Don had a great love for crib and his crib friends, if he was not at home, he was out on his trapline of crib games and tournaments, or was found at the shop working and visiting with his grandson, Dallas.

Don loved nothing more than seeing his children and grandchildren, whether it was making Tyller and Dallas breakfast, hanging with his family at the acreage, or having dinner at his daughter's house. We will always know this man as the Boss, our Rock. At Don's request a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Love you, Dad, Gido.
